January 22, Fineko/abc.az. The annual growth dynamics of expenses of banks operating in Azerbaijan for salaries and other types of compensation by the end of 2025 (as of December 31) has been announced.

ABC.AZ informs that some banks recorded a significant increase in staff costs.

The ranking is headed by AFB Bank. Bank's salary expenses increased by 57.5% year-on-year and reached 4.436 million manats.

Ziraat Bank Azerbaycan holds the 2nd place (a rise of 26.9% or 2.62 million manats) and Azer Turk Bank - 3rd place with growth rate of 23.4% (absolute increase of 6.76 million manats).

The largest growth in absolute terms was recorded on the International Bank of Azerbaijan (IBA; Azeri acronym: ABB) - 43.221 million manats. And the increase in interest rates was 23.1%, which is why the bank took the 4th place.

Turanbank closes Top 5 of the list. Bank's payroll expenses grew by 19.8% or by 3.982 million manats.
