February 3, Fineko/abc.az. The total trading volume at the securities market on the Baku Stock Exchange in January 2026 amounted to 5.295 billion manats (49% less than in 2025).
ABC.AZ reports with reference to the BSE that the volume of transactions in the secondary market of government securities amounted to 415 million manats (530% more versus 2024).
Initial market transactions with Central Bank notes were recorded for 89 million manats, last year there were no operations in this segment.
The total volume of corporate securities transactions totale 34 million manats (a drop of 40%). Operations in the primary market here totaled 6 million manats and showed a drop of 88%, while operations in the secondary market increased by 140% up to 29 million manats.
Operations at the mortgage bond market were not carried out in January 2026, whereas in January 2025 they amounted to 318 million manats.
REPO operations totaled 4.757 billion manats (around 4.8 billion manats), which is 52% less than a year earlier.
REPO operations on government bonds decreased by 43% to 3.738 million manats, an increase of 69 million manats was observed on the notes of the Central Bank, and a decrease of 72% to 950 million manats was recorded on corporate securities.
Operations in the primary market reached 94 million manats (52% less), while operations in the secondary market showed an increase of 81% - 444 million manats.
