February 5, Fineko/abc.az. Uzbek and Turkish authorities have signed an agreement on opening of regular container rail services via route Uzbekistan–Turkmenistan–Iran–Turkey.

ABC.AZ informs that Transport Minister Ilkhom Makhkamov said this on TV channel Uzbekistan 24.

According to the minister, this will allow Uzbek cargo carriers to access the sea through the Turkish port of Mersin.

The senior official added that those agreements will help simplify international cargo transportation along the Middle Corridor.
