ABC.AZ informs that the area of Bandar Lenge at the initial stage will be 300 hectares, and in the future it can be increased up to 1,500 hectares. At the first stage, the port will be able to receive vessels with displacement of 50,000 tons. The port of Makran on an area of 1,100 hectares will serve vessels of megaton tonnage.

In addition, Iran plans to complete a project in 2026 to connect 2,700 hectares of new land to the territory of the Shahid Rajai port with the help of a bridge currently under construction. This will double the logistics capabilities of the country's largest commercial and busiest port.
