February 17, Fineko/abc.az. In January 2026, Azerbaijan exported 189 tons of potatoes for $65,000 ($32,000 (96.6%) more in value and 76 tons (67.3%) more in volume against January 2025), ABC.AZ informs with reference to the State Customs Committee.

Revenues from potato exports accounted for a small share in Azerbaijan's export revenues.

Of the foreign trade turnover, $2.236 billion accounted for exports and $1.302 billion for imports. Decline of 26.4% was reported on exports and 36.5% on imports.

As a result, the foreign trade surplus totaled $934 million (5.3% less than a year ago).
