February 18, Fineko/abc.az. In January 2026, our country imported 8,369 tons of fertilizers for $5.6 million.

ABC.AZ informs with reference to the State Customs Committee, that the import of fertilizers in value terms reached $434,000, or 8.4% and in quantitative terms - 4,654, or 35.8% less against January 2025.

Azerbaijan imported 13,222 tons of fertilizers for $5.1 million for January 2025.

By the end of January 2026, the average import price for 1 kg of imported fertilizer was $0.67 (nearly 1.14 manats). And in the same period of 2025, this figure was $0.39 (around 0.66 manats). This means an increase of $0.28 (0.48 manats) or 71.8% compared with the same term of 2025.

Fertilizers made up 0.43% of overall imports in January 2026 and 0.25% in January 2025.
