February 18, Fineko/abc.az. Our country imported 7,580 tons of corn for $1.4 million in January 2026.

ABC.AZ reports, referring to the State Customs Committee, that corn imports totaled 2.8 million, or 66.5%, in value terms and in quantitative terms - 12,588 tons (62.4% less) versus January 2025.

In January 2025, 20,168 tons of corn for $4.2 million were imported into the country.

The average import price for 1 kg of imported corn in January 2026 was $0.19 (close to 0.32 manats) and in January 2025 - $0.21 (nearly 0.36 manats). This means a drop of $0.02 (4 gyapik) or 9.5% against January 2025.

Corn made up 0.11% of overall imports in January 2026 and 0.21% in January 2025.
