Azerbaijan sharply increased exports of gold and silver to Switzerland in 2025

February 18, Fineko/abc.az. In 2025, Azerbaijan significantly increased exports of gold and silver to Switzerland, which is the only buyer of local precious metals. An increase in prices played a significant role in the growth of export earnings.

ABC.AZ informs that in 2025, gold exports totaled 4,522 kg (5.9% more than in 2024). At that, the value of exports grew rapidly up to $326.2 million against $211.76 million a year earlier (+54.04%).

The average export price of 1 kg of gold in 2025 reached $72,133, while in 2024 it was $49,589. Thus, gold has risen in price by 46% over the year.

A similar trend is observed for silver. In 2025, 2,171 kg of silver was exported to Switzerland, which is 30% more than a year earlier. The volume of exports in value terms increased to $2.68 million against $1.58 million in 2024 (+70%).

The average export price of 1 kg of silver was $1,235, compared with $944 in 2024, which means a rise of 31% year-on-year.

According to the State Statistics Committee, 2,965 kg of gold and 3,646 kg of silver were produced in Azerbaijan in 2025.
