February 20, Fineko/abc.az. Fitch Solutions has provided a forecast for the growth of the Azerbaijani economy in 2026.
ABC.AZ informs that growth will be driven mainly by household consumption.
The unemployment rate is expected to remain at about 5.2%, while real wage growth will continue. It is reported that private consumption will contribute to economic growth by nearly 2.5 percentage points.
As of December 2025, the oil sector made up 47.4% of GDP and non-oil sector - 52.7%. Amid a decrease in oil production by 7.3%, gross production declined by 2.6% year-on-year, while non-oil GDP grew by 8.6%.
At the same time, new trade and investment agreements signed with China, Germany, Turkey and a number of European partners will contribute to expansion of the non-oil sector.
