February 26, Fineko/abc.az. South Korea and the United Arab Emirates have agreed to implement joint projects worth over $65 billion.
ABC.AZ informs that the special envoy of the President of the Republic of Korea, Kang Hong-sik, informed about this following a visit to Abu Dhabi.
Of the total amount, $35 billion will be spent on defense projects, and another $30 billion on investments and technologies. The countries intend to move from simple arms purchases to joint development, training and modernization of equipment. Cooperation will also expand in nuclear energy and artificial intelligence.
The agreements became part of strategic rapprochement initiated after the visit of S Korean President Lee Jae-myung to the UAE.
