In accordance with the telephone conversation that took place on March 8, 2026 between the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, and the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mr. Masoud Pezeshkian, humanitarian aid was sent to Iran in order to meet the current needs of the friendly and neighboring Iranian people.

ABC.AZ informs that according to Azerbaijni president’s instructions, the humanitarian aid sent to Iran by vehicles of the Ministry of Emergency Situations includes 10 tons of flour, 6 tons of rice, 2.4 tons of sugar, more than 4 tons of water, about 600 kg of tea, nearly 2 tons of medicines and medical supplies.
