Volkswagen to reduce up to 50,000 jobs in Germany

March 11, Fineko/abc.az. German carmaker Volkswagen Group is planning to cut nearly 50,000 jobs in Germany by 2030 as part of a cost-saving program.

ABC.AZ informs that according to company's annual report, already in 2025, due to staff and capacity reductions at the plants, costs were cut by €1 billion. By 2030, the group expects to lower costs by €6 billion annually.

Volkswagen's profit in 2025 fell by 53.5% to €9 billion, while sales decreased by 0.2% amid falling demand in North America and China and rising costs.
