March 12, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan is currently implementing 41 projects in the Eurasian region.
ABC.AZ reports that Alexander Zaboyev, the head of the Center for Integration Studies at the Eurasian Development Bank, made the relevant statement at the presentation of report "Investment Dynamics in the Eurasian Region: Results & Trends".
He pointed out that following the 1st half of 2025, Azerbaijan's investments in the countries of the Eurasian region reached $3.2 bn. The expert noted that Azerbaijan demonstrates high investment activity both inside and outside the region.
According to the report, the main directions of investments are Ukraine (39%) and Georgia (38%). Among the largest projects is acquisition and modernization of the Kulevo Oil Terminal in Georgia for $330 million, as well as the purchase of SOCAR Georgia Gas’ gas distribution networks for $300 million.
Russia remains the main regional investor in the Azerbaijani economy (98%). As of the 1st half of 2025, Russian investments amounted to $4.77 bn and overall finances raised from the region reached $5.4 bn.
