March 16, Fineko/abc.az. In Georgia, land plots will be forcibly seized from several citizens in connection with the construction of highways Rustavi–Krasny Bridge and Rustavi–Sadakhli in Marneuli region.

According to the document of the Department of Highways of Georgia, the construction of the road is recognized as a project of special public importance, therefore, the agency has been granted the right to expropriate property falling within the construction zone.

The Ministry of Economy & Sustainable Development of the country reported that due to the need to implement the project, land plots in the villages of Sadakhly and Zemo Sarali (Jukhary Saral) will be forcibly withdrawn with compensation.

In particular, 1,737 sq m will be seized from an agricultural plot of 9,022 sq m belonging to Valeh Bayramov in the village of Sadakhly. 1,457 sq m will be seized in the village of Zemo Sarali (Jukhary Saral). from an agricultural plot with an area of 2,700 sq m, which is jointly owned by Asaf Abbasov and five more of our compatriots.

The use of the forced withdrawal mechanism is associated with the inability to reach an agreement with the owners of land plots on the issue of their purchase.
