March 16, Fineko/abc.az. After the start of the import of Azerbaijani fuel, prices in the Armenian market fell for several reasons, ABC.AZ informs, quoting Gegham Gevorgyan, the chair of the Armenian Commission for the Protection of Competition.

Firstly, transportation costs have decreased, as goods are imported from Azerbaijan and Georgia by rail. Secondly, a cheaper product of one of the market participants appeared, and other participants were forced to adapt to this reality.

He pointed out that over the past 5 years, in addition to numerous small companies, three new large business entities have started operating in the country's fuel market.

"Unfortunately, the opportunity to take advantage of the period of low stock prices was not long in coming, because prices are now rising on the global market. We need to understand how the processes will develop in the coming period and how the situation on the stock market will develop,” Gevorgyan emphasized.
