December 21, Fineko/abc.az. National water operator Azersu is successfully implementing projects on improvement of the water supply system in Tovuz district.

The Company reports that water supply infrastructure has been created in five frontline villages of Tovuz district of Azerbaijan.

"The projects on creation of water supply system have been implemented in the Gadirli, Khatinli, Chilovdarli, Garakhanli and Alimardanli settlements since the summer of 2018. Within the projects, it was drilled two artesian wells and reconstructed two water tanks with capacity of 600 cu m each. The 42 km long water pipelines have been laid and 184 springs for general use installed in the villages. Water supplying to the villages has been started," Azersu said.

The project implementation has improved the water supply system for 12,000 people and as water comes to citizens from general use springs, payment is not required.
