December 24, Fineko/abc.az. The State Tourism Agency has published statistical data on the rate of foreign citizens who visited Azerbaijan for Jan-Nov of the year.

The Agency reports that during the reporting period the number of foreign citizens who came to Azerbaijan increased by 6% or 151,000 versus the same period in 2017.
"Almost 2.5 million travelers crossed our borders. More than 50% of visitors came from Russia and Georgia. The number of arrivals from those countries increased by 4% and 13% respectively up to 817,000 and 550,000 tourists," the STA informed.

The rate of arrivals from the Middle East grew from 249,000 up to 346,000 people, while the tourist flow from Iran fell by 40% from 341,000 to 227,000 people and from Asia also increased from 126,000 up to 197,000 people. 
"The number of foreigners who visited Azerbaijan in October 2018 reached 212,000 with a rise of 5.8% against last October," the STA reported.
