Gas extraction from Shah Deniz field in Azerbaijan sector of Caspian reaches 100 bn cu m

January 7, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan extracted 100 bn cu m of gas from gas condensate field Shah Deniz.

BP Azerbaijan reports that such a level was achieved 12 years after announcement of launch of the project - from 15 December 2006.

"Since 2006 more than 196 million barrels of condensate have been extracted from Shah Deniz field," the Company says.

Currently gas and condensate at the field is produced from 10 wells from platform Alpha and six wells from platform Bravo.
