January 15, Fineko/abc.az. The Main Anti-Corruption Department under the General Prosecutor’s Office sent materials on 278 corruption-relating criminal cases to courts in 2018.

Deputy prosecutor general and MACD head Kamran Aliyev says that last year 278 criminal investigations against 431 persons were completed and sent to the relevant courts.

"Among them are cases of misappropriation (68 cases), fraud (55), excess of powers of office (21), bribe taking (13), bribe giving (46)," Aliyev said.
