BTC Co.’s operating costs for year increased by 16%

November 20, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Sept 2017 BTC Co. spent $120 million on the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline.

BP-Azerbaijan informs that operating expenses for the year increased by 16% up to $101 million and capital expenditures reduced by 54% to $19 million.

"From June 2006 to the end of September 2017 it was carried 374 million tons (2.8 bn barrels) via BTC pipeline, which were loaded on 3,674 tankers at the Ceyhan port and shipped to world markets. Over the past 3 quarters BTC exported about 26 million tons (193 million barrels) of oil which were loaded on 249 tankers at Ceyhan port," BP said.

The BTC shareholders: BP (30.10%); AzBTC (25.00%); Chevron (8.90%); Statoil (of 8.71%); TPAO (6.53%); ENI (5.00%); Total (5.00%), ITOCHU (3.40%); INPEX (2.50%), CIECO (2.50%) and ONGC (BTC) Ltd (2.36%).
