January 28, Fineko/abc.az. The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) has determined itself main directions of monetary policy for 2019 with the purpose to ensure the low level of inflation.

CBA chairman of board Elman Rustamov stated that in 2019 the Bank intends to keep inflation at the level of 4% (±2%) in order to ensure the price stability within the authority of the CBA.

"To achieve the set goals, the CBA will use monetary policy instruments adequately and change promptly those instruments depending on the difference between the predicted and real inflation," Rustamov said.

He pointed out that stability of the manat will be one of the main conditions for the low inflation next year.
