January 28, Fineko/abc.az. In an interview for Russian TV channel Rossiya 1 President Ilham Aliyev stated that Azerbaijan has been successfully working with international companies engaged in the exploration and development of large oil and gas fields in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea for 25 years.

President Aliyev said that Azerbaijan's oil and gas projects are very profitable. 
"Over the past 15 years alone $250 bn has been invested in our economy. Half of those investments are foreign and most of them belong to the oil and gas sector. Export oil and gas pipelines were also built so that we could transport our oil in many directions. Therefore, revenues from oil and gas projects are certainly growing today," the country’s leader said.
