Azerbaijan’s cargo turnover since early 2017 rose up to 185 million tons

November 22, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Oct Azerbaijan transported 185.9 million tons of cargo and 1.612 bn passengers.

The State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan reports that against the same term of 2016, cargo carriages grew by 1.7% and transportation of passengers by 2.2%.

"63.9% of cargo was transported by road, 26.1% by pipelines, 6.3% by rail, 3.6% by sea and 0.1% by air," the Committee said.

88.1% of passengers were carried by road, 11.6% by the underground, and others by air and by sea.
