April 26, Fineko/abc.az. State Customs Committee’s chairman Safar Mehdiyev met with Kunio Mikuriya, Secretary General of the World Customs Organization (WTO) in St. Petersburg.

The meeting was held within the framework of the conference of heads of customs services of the European region of the WCO.

Mehdiyev expressed confidence that cooperation between the WTO and the customs organization of Azerbaijan will always develop effectively.

Mr. Mikuriya noted that Azerbaijan is one of the most active members of the WTO, and highly appreciated the presence of several centers of the organization he represents in Azerbaijan as a result of the contribution of Azerbaijani customs to customs business at the international level.
