Azerbaijani President received delegation from Croatia - UPDATED

November 29, Fineko/abc.az. A delegation of the Republic of Croatia, headed by Deputy Prime Minister Martina Dalić, is visiting Baku currently.

President Ilham Aliyev received the delegation led by Deputy PM of Croatia, Minister of Economy, Small & Medium Entrepreneurship & Crafts, and co-chair of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission Ms. Martina Dalic.

"Talks are underway between Azerbaijan and the EU on a new agreement on strategic partnership, and this document will cover all aspects of mutual cooperation, including politics, economy, energy and culture," President Aliyev said during the meeting.

The Azerbaijani leader also underlined good prospects of bilateral cooperation between Baku and Zagreb in the energy sector.

President Aliyev stressed the importance of development of mutual trade and investment, as well as increasing the number of joint Azerbaijani and Croatian companies from angle of view of broadening bilateral cooperation in various fields.

Ms. Dalić praised the level of bilateral relationships between Azerbaijan and Croatia. She also focused on wide opportunities for deeper cooperation in investment, trade and other fields.
