December 1, Fineko/abc.az. Conference "Azerbaijan's commitments on UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities: achievements, problems & prospects’ has been conducted.

Addressing to the conference Minister for Labour & Social Protection Salim Muslimov has stated that the prevention of disability in our country, medical and social rehabilitation of people with disabilities and strengthening of their social protection are an important part of social policy.

The minister informed that the new Bill on the rights of persons with disabilities has been drafted by the Ministry focuses on the principles of the state policy on persons with disabilities, the state guarantees for them, rehabilitation of the disabled, their employment and access to different infrastructures and services.
