Average salary paid in Baku is 33% higher than country-wide

December 5, Fineko/abc.az. The average monthly salary paid in Baku is by one third more than the indicator on Azerbaijan.

The average salary on Baku is AZN 783.8 ($461) as of 1 October 2017 that is by 8% higher than by 1 October 2016.

As for Azerbaijan as a whole, average salary is AZN 525.6 ($309.1) by this October is by 7.2% higher than the salary indicator by 1 October 2016. Thus, average monthly salary is by 33% higher than the country-wide paid salary.

At the same time, the highest salaries are paid in extractive industries, construction and banking, and the lowest ones in education, health care and utilities.
