High rise of tax revenues on excise goods observed this year

July 11, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-May of the year the production of alcoholic and energy drinks grew by 15.7% up to 37.055 million liters.

At the same time, transfers to the State Budget on excises from this group of goods increased by 2.5 times up to AZN 25.3 million.

The Ministry of Taxes informs that for Jan-May 2019 revenues from excise taxes on tobacco products totaled AZN 28.499 milion that is by 5.6 times more versus the 2018 same term.

One of the factors influencing the growth of tax payments on tobacco producers is increase in the amount of excise duties. Without this factor, increase in excise taxes on tobacco products makes up 12.5%.
