Azerbaijan has improved its position in Passport Index

 October 1, Fineko/abc. On 1 October 2019 Henley & Partners published an updated Passport Index, which reflects changes in the visa-free regime of countries of the world for the 4th quarter of 2019.  

Top 3 of leaders of the rating for three months did not change. Japan and Singapore rank the first place in the Index. Passports of these countries allow you to visit 190 destinations out of 227 possible without a visa. The 2nd place is shared by Germany, Finland and South Korea – 188 visa-free countries. Denmark, Italy and Luxembourg are still on the third line - 187 destinations. The UK and the U.S. are still in the 6th place - the lowest since 2010. The most successful three months were for the United Arab Emirates. The country rose by record five lines, receiving visa-free access to a number of African countries. Now the UAE occupies the 15th place (172 destinations).
In the 4th quarter of 2019 Azerbaijan rose by two lines in the Index, and now occupies 76th place. At the same time, for three months the number of visa–free countries remained the same - 66 destinations. 

The indicators of the neighboring countries of Azerbaijan did not change much. Russian citizens have received visa-free access to Sierra Leone, and now Russians can visit 117 countries without a visa. Indicators of Kazakhstan remain the same - 75 visa-free countries. Turkey has received visa–free access to two countries for three months, and now the total number of visa-free destinations is 112.
