After attack on Iranian oil tanker oil price at world market rose by 2%

October 11, Fineko/abc.az. After the attack on the Iranian oil tanker in the Red Sea, the price of oil in the world market has increased by 2%.

Brent crude oil prices are reported to have risen 2.3% and exceeded $60 a barrel on global exchanges. The price of Light crude oil rose 2.1% up to $54.7/barrel.

Last night oil tanker Sabiti, owned by National Oil Company (NIOC), was attacked in the Red Sea, and there was a fire on board.

As a result of damage to the deck of the tanker, there was an oil spill in the sea. The Iranian side said that the responsibility for environmental damage rests with the attackers.

The cause of the incident is under investigation.
