GDP growth made up 3% in September

November 22, Fineko/abc.az. This September Azerbaijan’s GDP grew by 3% against last September.

ABC.AZ reports that the WB stated about country’s GDP growth by 2.5% compared with the same period of last year.

"For the first 9 months of the year the non-oil sector grew by 3.5% and the oil & gas sector by 1.1%. And progressive development was observed in the agricultural sector. Thus, compared with the 2018 same term, this sector grew by 7.1%. Also, with real wage growth in September, the consumer sector increased by 6.5%. This has manifested itself, especially in the public sector and in the labor market," the WB says.

In addition, the WB report says that in September foods in Azerbaijan rose by 5% compared with the previous year. The general inflation, as the State Statistics Committee explains, made up 2.6%. Until the end of 2019 this figure will be about 4±2 percent in accordance with the goals of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.
