Facilities that refuse to use POS terminals to be fined

December 3, Fineko/abc.az. Changes to the Tax Code related to strengthening the fight against tax evasion include some tightening of the provisions of the tax legislation against such cases.

The statement was made by Samira Musayeva, the head of the Main Tax Policy Department of the Ministry of Taxes, at a briefing on the main directions of changes and additions to the Tax Code.

She points out that the changes include the application of financial sanctions for refusal to install them and non-cash payments at facilities forced to install POS terminals: "In the first case, a financial sanction for 1,000 manats will be applied, and if it happens again - for 3,000 manats, for the third and next time for 6,000 manats. In addition, according to the amendments, banks will submit monthly to the tax authorities the data on transactions on bank accounts of VAT payers in e-form, clarify the requirements for the relevant documentation that creates the basis for the application of financial sanctions for tax cuts and other tax offenses," Musayeva added.

At the same time, she added, these changes include clarification of the mechanism for determining taxable income associated with the provision of residential and non-residential premises by persons engaged in the construction of buildings, and improvement of tax control.
