December 9, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan should expand economic diversification and employment. Citizens of Azerbaijan should be provided with decent work.

ABC.AZ reports that the relevant statement was made by Deputy Economy Minister Sevinj Hasanova at the presentation of portal "Creative Azerbaijan" in Baku and a panel discussion on the theme "Creative & cultural industries: new opportunities for sustainable development and employment".

She noted that the development of the creative industry will gradually take its place in the development of the economy of Azerbaijan. According to the deputy minister, great progress has been achieved in a number of sectors of the economy, and this is stressed by a number of experts. Hasanova points out that the government is not satisfied with economic growth in Azerbaijan, and the country faces two tasks: "One of them is to accelerate economic diversification, the other one is to provide employment. The country has mechanisms to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), through which it is planned to increase gradually the share of SMEs up to 70%."
