Current inflation rate in Azerbaijan is optimal

December 26, Fineko/abc.az. The inflation in Azerbaijan is forecasted at the level of 4.8% in 2020.

Vusal Gasimli, the executive director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms & Communications, points out that inflation should be managed.

"It’s very good that the Central Bank of Azerbaijan keeps inflation under control. International organizations also say that the current inflation rate of 2.6% in Azerbaijan is optimal. Volatility in inflation is dangerous. A sharp increase or a sharp decrease in the inflation rate is equally dangerous," Gasimli emphasized.
