December 22, Fineko/abc.az. The Association of Banks of Azerbaijan (ABA) summed up the results of 2017.

ABA chairman Zakir Nuriyev said that the year was successful both for banks and for the association, as 'we were able to implement the plan of actions necessary for achieving the set goals'.

"The year 2017 became difficult and at the same time it was the first year of important steps for the Azerbaijani banking sector after the well-known processes. This year there are a number of achievements in the banking sector, the changes mainly concerned the growth of the sector's capitalization and other innovations, amendments were made to the legislation, measures were implemented jointly with international financial structures. The Association of Banks is working to improve the social status of workers in the banking sector, as well as addressing the population's problems with banks.
