Risks covered by agricultural insurance endorsed

December 28, Fineko/abc.az. The Azerbaijani Cabinet Ministers has approved the list of risks to be covered by agricultural insurance.

ABC.AZ reports that Cabinet’s decision comes into force on 1 January 2020.

So, from the first day of the next year farmers must be insured against natural disasters, earthquakes, landslides, hurricanes, storms, fires, diseases and pests of plants, infectious diseases and poisoning.

In addition, the Cabinet decided that, with the exception of the diseases included in the list of quarantine and especially dangerous infections (exotic) diseases, mentioned in the Regulations for compensation of material damage caused to legal entities and individuals in the liquidation of a number of quarantine & especially dangerous infectious diseases, death from other infectious diseases, death from snake bites or insects, death by poison herbs and food, death by mass poisoning, attack by wild animals and spread and attack especially dangerous pests, actions of third parties are considered and insured by the Agricultural Insurance Fund.
