Ilham Aliyev receives group of Muslim clerics from Russia's North Caucasus

December 22, Fineko/abc.az. President Ilham Aliyev received a group of Muslim religious figures from the North Caucasian republics of the Russian Federation, participants in the international conference "2017 - the Year of Islamic Solidarity: Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue".

President Aliyev noted that such meetings strengthen not only relations with Russia, but also with the Russian regions of the North Caucasus.

"Despite the completion of the Year of Islamic Solidarity in 2017, Azerbaijan will continue to contribute to the solidarity of the world Muslims, as well as to cooperation between Muslim countries," said Ilham Aliyev.
