Economy Minister: Unemployment insurance contributions have grown

January 17, Fineko/abc.az. Reforms in the sphere of labor relations have positively affected the contributions on mandatory state social insurance and unemployment insurance, stated Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov at a news conference held on 16 January.

According to the minister, in 2019 contributions on mandatory state social insurance increased by 26% up to AZN 2.931 bn and on unemployment insurance by 39.1% up to AZN 105 million. Last year the number of active taxpayers grew by 12.3% up to 496,000, including the number of active VAT-payers by 37.5% up to 24,800 against 2018.
