FAO has tripled cost of a beekeeping project in Azerbaijan

December 28, Fineko/abc.az. The Food & Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) intends to launch a new project in Azerbaijan.

Ms. Melek Cakmak, the head of the Baku office of the organization, has stated that the new project will continue the beekeeping project in Azerbaijan.

"International experts think that Azerbaijan has the best bees and the best honey, and we try to help bring this product to the world market," Ms. Cakmak said.

She pointed out that cost of the new project is $800,000 and the previous project cost totaled $200,000.
