February 21, Fineko/abc.az. Further development of our cooperation in the economic sphere is going to be positive.

ABC.AZ reports that the above-mentioned statement was made by President Ilham Aliyev jointly with his Italian counterpart.

The head of state noted that from now on Azerbaijan expects cooperation of Italian companies in the non-oil sector.

"So far, many Italian companies have participated in various projects in Azerbaijan. As for the trade turnover, Italy is our number one partner in the world. Last year, our trade turnover reached $6 bn. However, most of this belongs to the oil sector. Therefore, we exchanged views on the diversification of bilateral trade turnover," President Aliyev said.
