December 29, Fineko/abc.az. Kapital Bank has been appointed the agent bank on the payment of compensations to depositors of liquidated Dеmirbank by the decision of the Board of Trustees of the Deposit Insurance Fund of Azerbaijan (ADIF).

ADIF reports that compensation payments on insured deposits will be given starting from 1 February 2018 at Kapital Bank’s branches.

Demirbank’s license was withdrawn on 23 December 2017 in connection with non-compliance of Bank's overall capital to the minimum requirement and due to the fact that coefficient of adequacy of its overall capital was below 3% and the lack of liquidated Bank’s ability to meet its obligations to creditors.
