March 11, Fineko/abc.az. The Azerbaijan Chamber of Accounts, commenting on the draft budget, pointed to possible risks of fiscal sustainability. These risks exist all the time. The main task is to manage effectively these risks on the part of the government and take preventive measures. We believe the government of Azerbaijan is ready for that.

The above-mentioned statement was made by ACA chairman Vugar Gulmammadov, answering a question about the impact of a sharp decline in oil prices on budget stability.

"We don’t think the prices will also remain low for a long time. ACA works in accordance with the strategic development program. During the entire period of our activity, it’s important to establish effective control over public funds. Chamber's activities are based on that," he said.
