EU has financed money to partner countries

May 6, Fineko/abc.az. The European Union has approved the allocation of EUR 3 billion in credit assistance to partner countries to support measures to combat the coronavirus pandemic.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the foreign media that this is informed in a statement published by the EU. The credit finances will be paid in two tranches for 12 months, and maximum repayment period will be 15 years.

If approved, Ukraine will receive EUR 1.2 billion, Tunisia EUR 600 million, Bosnia and Herzegovina EUR 250 million, Jordan EUR 200 million, Albania EUR 180 million, North Macedonia EUR 160 million, Georgia EUR 150 million, Moldova and Kosovo EUR 100 million, and Montenegro EUR 60 million.

The EU envisages the allocation of more than EUR 15.6 billion of financial resources from available external resources to the partner countries. Part of the total package of EUR 3.25 billion will be allocated to African countries, and the part that amounts to EUR 1.19 billion to neighboring countries in North Africa.
