Foods that rose most in price in Georgia for April

May 6, Fineko/abc.az. Statistics of the most expensive foods in Georgia for April has been published.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Georgian media that this is informed by the National Center for Statistics.

This April’s monthly inflation grew by 0.9% and annual inflation by 6.3% against April 2019. Thus, a number of foods have become more expensive. In April 2020 the largest price increase (versus April 2019) was recorded on the following food products:

1) garlic – a rise of 318% (3-fold rise in the price of this product)

2) lemon - 151%

3) apples - 77%

4) buckwheat - 74%

5) watermelon - 60%

6) grapes - 56%

7) radish - 54%

8) peaches - 49%

9) chicken meat - 42%

10) plums - 39%
