May 12, Fineko/abc.az. The Ministry of Labor & Social Protection has submitted to the General Prosecutor’s Office the materials on 28 official investigations with signs of a crime for giving a legal assessment.

ABC.AZ reports that on the basis of those materials 18 criminal cases were initiated in the Main Anti-Corruption Department under the Prosecutor General, and appropriate measures were taken in accordance with the requirements of the Criminal Procedure Legislation with the use of acts of prosecutorial influence.

The investigation of eight criminal cases against 13 individuals has been completed and sent to the relevant courts, while investigations are continuing on 10 criminal cases.

Out of the criminal cases sent to the court, two convictions were issued against 4 persons, and 6 criminal cases are currently being processed by the courts. In connection with the adoption of appropriate measures to compensate for material damage caused to the state in these cases, the necessary investigative and operational measures related to compensation for damage in criminal cases under investigation are currently being continued.
