Georgia amendment to law to increase pensions

May 13, Fineko/abc.az. The Georgian MPs has put forward a package of amendments to the Draft Law on State Pension.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Georgian media that the bill provides for an increase in pensions.

So, taking into account the 12-month inflation index, the agenda is to increase the pensions of retired persons aged up to 70 years by 20 lari and pensioners aged 70 years and older by up to 25 lari.

It is noted that there will be more pension increases for retired persons aged 70 years and older. It is linked with their social status, higher rates of income loss, and greater medical needs.
