May 15, Fineko/abc.az. The government will no longer apply to the president for extension of the emergency regime.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Georgian media that the statement was made by Georgian Prime Minister Georgi Gakharia.

He noted that after thorough analysis of the epidemiological situation, the government of Georgia will cancel the emergency situation in the country on 22 May. Therefore, to extend the term of the state of emergency, we will no longer have to apply to the Parliament: "The state of emergency was declared on 21 March, and then extended further. Today we decided not to apply to the government of Georgia or the Parliament in connection with the extension of the emergency regime. However, I emphasize that the lifting of the state of emergency does not mean that the applicable bans will be lifted completely and immediately. Based on the recommendations of epidemiologists, restrictions will be applied that reduce the risk of infection with the virus."
