May 18, Fineko/abc.az. The fines for traffic violations in Azerbaijan in the 1st quarter of 2020 amounted to AZN 25.4 million, ABC.AZ was informed at the State Statistics Committee.

Over the first 3 months of this year Azerbaijan traffic police recorded 841,700 administrative breaches of traffic rules. At the same time, 39.6% of the recorded violations related to exceeding the speed limit, 21.9% to breaking of the vehicle stopping or parking rules, 11% to non-compliance with road signs or signs on the roadway, 9.9% to the violations of the rules of travel to a prohibited traffic light or traffic controller, 3.1% to the non–use of a seat belt, 3.6% to non-signing of a mandatory insurance contract, the rest to other reasons.
