May 19, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan provided assistance to 13 countries and three international organizations. It is no accident that Azerbaijan is a country with great authority and high image on a global scale, President Ilham Aliyev said this in an interview for TV Channel AZTV.

The country’s leader noted that otherwise, eight years ago, we would not have been elected to the UN Security Council with the support of 155 countries: "Otherwise, by the unanimous decision of the Non-Aligned Movement, by the decision of 120 countries, we would not have been elected the chairman of this organization. As I said, this institution is home to many countries that do not get along with each other. But each of them supported Azerbaijan. Because we are a responsible country, we respect ourselves, protect our dignity, and respect our partners."
