June 4, Fineko/abc.az. This year, the State will pay farmers lump-sum funds in the amount of 60 manats per hectare for purchase of seeds for re-planting corn.

ABC.AZ was informed at the Ministry of Agriculture that after harvesting grain in Azerbaijan repeated sowing can be carried out on an area of about 100,000 hectares located in low-lying and foothill regions. From each hectare of re-sown areas in the country, farmers can get 350-400 quintals of green mass or 40-50 quintals of grain.

By Cabinet Ministers’ order from 22 May 2020, farmers will be paid lump-sum funds in the amount of AZN 5 million allocated to the Agriculture Ministry from the State Budget Reserve Fund to support agricultural producers for the purchase of hybrid corn seeds with a short growing period.
